Mobile Web Server - Final update without update error!

wow, it's something, comes end of year and last days from Nokia Belat labs and testers have really hard days, last few days they released few new applications and now finally yesterday they released Mobile Web Server 1.5.1 final beta version.

  

this new release includes really nice changes startin of this that when you installing application, it not says "unable to install" or "update error" as was on previous releases. now itself installs new updated version of Python 1.45.

         "With the latest Mobile Web Server 1.5.1 beta release we have been able to implement some cool features and fix many of the existing ones:

          Group Calendar widget. With this easy to use widget you can see your family or friends device calendars in real time, and make new appointments.

          The widget also serves as an example on how to utilize the MWS REST APIs to develop new kind of applications. The widget is now available on Nokia Beta Labs.
           Better support for S60 5th Edition and touch devices (such as Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and Nokia N97).
          Numerous "bug fixes" based on extensive testing and feedback from you.

           Also the Live Status Facebook application has been updated, with significantly enhanced user experience.    this release includes compatibility of new TOUCH series phones (s60 v5) 

New service widget Group Calendar is a small widget that allows you to have a live access to your friends' device calendars. There is no need to synchronize your calendars with PC or some server cloud, as we can access each others' mobile calendars directly. With the widget you can check availability of your friends, make new requests and send free text messages to them.

Nokia Image Exchange - Share your life

Today, on Nokia Beta Labs site appeared new experimental application named Nokia Image Exchange, this is new service from NOKIA, "Nokia Image Exchange is an experimental image gallery to make browsing and sharing images fun and easy. It aims to provide a seamless integration of a mobile image gallery application and a corresponding web-service. Image Exchange explores user experience when the mobile phone is enabled with an always-on data connection and utilizes existing contact information as a basis for social networking. 

A few notable highlights include: automatic account creation, automatic back up and synchronization of image data, instant sharing, notifications about new images from contacts and a web interface for uploading and downloading images" 

It's OK, but don't install if you haven't free data service, better use WiFi, because it can "eat" your mobile's internet traffic to download images from server. you can visit from PC to your or others galleries.

for now it supports:

 System requirements
In practice, a flat fee data plan or WiFi usage is recommended.
Supported devices: N95 (all versions), N85, N82, N81 (all models), E71, N76, N78 and Nokia 5320 XpressMusic. Image Exchange should also work on many other 3.1 and 3.2 S60 devices. 
Devices known not to work or have issues: N96, E90, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. 
Web service is tested with Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer 7. Google Chrome and Opera 9 seem to work. At the time being, Internet Explorer 6 has some aesthetical issues.

WOW! countdown stopped - Nokia anounced N97 and other new models!

at last countdown reached to ZERO on Nokia's events site today, Nokia made anouncement of first N series QWERTY touch - N97 and few new devices.
